That grill looks awesome. Do you guys know anyone who is doing interior parts? Dashes, center consols, shifters, steering wheels Ect..?
I've been working with a guy wanting to get into molding small carbon fiber parts, we were gonna stick with mostly motorcycle parts, but I wanted to do some interior parts for my car, and once the molds are made their made wouldn't be hard to reproduce plenty of them. If everyones not too turner off by waiting so long for this grille... I posted a thread earlier in the week. check it out please.

I was one of the first four who paid and never got mine

 

I contacted him in Feb about making me one before he mentioned selling. Payed in early april, and DID receive my grill.

Has anyone tried to call him?

 

I contacted him in February about selling them. Sent my payment April 7th or 8th. He said i was 4th in line. Got my grill around June 16th give or take a couple days. He's replied to every one of my PM's though.

 

I just checked, I paid the 8th of April also...I got zilch!

Just dispute it through paypal, I didn't receive a couple of things that I purchased from member's of other boards and paypal has always given me a refund within about 2-4 weeks.

 

Timeframe for dispute has long passed, it's only 60 days or so

 

45 days is cut off

 

I have to ask..why did you guys wait so long to dispute it?

Sounds like a good scam to me loose money or break even on the first couple...But then make 100% profit on a bunch of guys who see the product.

Pay pal should be able to get you an address or phone number...Maybe the admins can lend a hand too.

Anyone found some info on this dood? Got him on the phone? Have to find out what Co. he works for. Shouldn't be too hard to find carbon compostite co. in GA worked on the Nissan Blackwing that ran at LeMans this year.

So this guy just went to ground, or what?

 

But his background is pretty legit. Lanier Technical College has a motorsports program thats apparently somewhat successful. Between Road Atlanta and Panoz there's actually a thriving motorsport industry up there. Charlotte isnt far away, either.

I find it pretty odd a student like that would go through all this trouble to scam everyone but send two of them out. Cant help but wonder if something weird is going on. Like maybe he got in trouble for using the autoclave for personal financial gains and got released from the Nissan program and maybe he already spent the moneys?

 

He could post before, he probably can now... still waiting on explanation & grille... or money back. I'm no philanthropist and I hate getting scammed.

 

Clearly something fishy is going on, I just get the feeling he wasnt out to scam people from the start, and he's put himself in a bad position now.

 

Someone affected should send this thread to the guys at Jalopnik... they have covered a lot of hte Nissan Deltawing stuff... a Nissan employee has been scamming people, might be of interest to certain people...

 

I agree. Something has happened in his life and things have changed. Maybe losing access to the equipment he needs for what ever reason.

Elan Technologies, in case you guys arent already aware, is owned by Panoz Auto Development (Don Panoz, Dan Panoz) who owns Road Atlanta, a winery, a few other things in Atlanta. They're relatively important in the motorsports world. They are also behind the Nissan deltawing (odd, but Nissan didnt get involved until later on) program.

I get the feeling that he wasn't setting out to intentionally scam people. But the fact that he had people's money up front probably made him lazy and not motivated to finish producing them. So he just abandoned the project.
