Wow, way to keep it classy. I have just as much say in this as you do. I placed a deposit as well.

Re: Carbon Z28 Grille
I've been waiting for this to turn into a got scammed thread.
I see one person who paid extra got his, but no one else is given any idea.
I agree it doesn't take long to letpeople know.
I'm afraid to hear what you paid him, and hope it all works out.

What do you mean paid extra? I paid a hundred, half the total up front. Anyone paid more?

Someone paid extra
Your all gonna hate me...

So as you can see I paid Matt a little extra to have him clear coat the carbon for the gloss look I'm going for. I will be starting a thread in the appearance board after I get some installed pics.
Initial inspection... Thing is beautiful. The pattern in the weave is super even, and consistent, and edges are sharp and clean. The bowtie is perfect! I will probably re-paint the bowtie myself, but you guys have nothing to worry about as far as I can see. Can't wait to install it!
Thanks mattmeritt89!!!! PM Matt for more details and cost on the next batch if you didn't get in on the first batch.

Re: Carbon Z28 Grille
give the guy a break!!, he's doing one of a few things, working to pat the bills, sleeping, eating, spending a little time with family.
it also it took him 5 months to build his! I know when things are going good for me on my projects I'm not on the computer! and it is not safe to post while driving on his smart phone.and he took 5 orders for the 1st run.
I know that when I'm waiting for parts I get inpatient, and have to look at the calendar to see when I ordered. so set back have a cup of coffee and relax, as long as you see others posting that they are getting theirs, yours will be coming.

CF dash would be a great looking & lightweight alternative to what we have in our cars today. If it was fully functional (speakers, vents, correct fitment, etc.) then so many people would buy it for sure. I have a perfect mint dash. Not a scratch. I would buy it!

No, nothing yet.
The guy paid more for clearcoat...not to be 1st inline. I assume the order is in the payments?
A little heads up would be nice. The money is gone already, paypal reclamation window closed, same for my credit card. I've been burned for a lot more (thousands) so not too worried abut the hundred.

Re: Carbon Z28 Grille
Have any of you that are super worried about where he is with the grills made contact with him through emails and PM? This is how I stayed in contact. Might help.
As many others have said... he is busy. He is a regular guy working a job, and doing these on the side. If anything he should have done a better job on the time estimates, but then again this is not his professional job.
Hope they come in soon for you all!

As stated on pages 2 and 3, it could possibly happen in the future but he is going to stick to the smaller/simpler items for now.

Re: Carbon Z28 Grille
After I discovered this thread I made instant PM's with Matt. Upon confirmation of what he was offering and what I could receive I sent payment immediately. This was April 6th. was explained for the 200 dollar model that he would have to wait a few weeks for the materials to come in. He confirmed I was the sixth person to send payment. I'm just sharing facts here. Either two things will happen, I will one day get a PM that my piece is ready and he wants the rest of the payment + shipping or I will never hear back.
Have patience guys.

Re: Carbon Z28 Grille
I have an RS so it was black slatted and I removed it like 5 years ago because it IMO is hideous and missouri requires front plates but now that im a dealer I only have the one plate and the holes in the front are killing me right now so im looking at z28 grilles because they are awesome even though I don't like foglights. And this is even better than just a white or black z28 grille for obvious reasons. and there is no black on the front of my car such as headlight pockets and i like that it looks clean that way. SO I wanted a white z28 grille and im not sure a black one would look good. thats why Here this is what it looks like...

Re: Carbon Z28 Grille
I think everyone needs to relax a bit. The guy stated that he is pretty busy with work and does this on the side for himself basically. My friend that does CF work on the side said he wouldnt even TOUCH these for people for $200 so it is an EXCELLENT deal. Matt posted about a month ago with the list of people so he is around. I am not worried and even if I dont get what I "ordered", I took a chance and it is only $100 not thousands for a prototype part. But I am not worried as a few people have actually gotten a part

I can let you guys know about this fab project, if you're interested; I just started on a CF dash (for my 87) and front quarter panels for by buddy's 90 drag car. I'll make a thread later on for all of the CF stuff we'll do.
