68 cowl graft on to flat 91 rs hood

Hey guys working on my budget build and wanted to share some pics. Took my flat stock hood and welded in the cowl off of a 68 camaro hood. Took alot of time but turned out nice

Primed for the first time

Ready to lay on the cowl

I've heard of this being done in the past, but I've never seen pics of it

it looks fantastic! the way a cowl hood should look on a 3rd gen

great job!

That had to have been an expensive hood you cut up!

Like the color scheme, is the rest of the car painted yet?

Re: 68 cowl graft on to flat 91 rs hood

Wow, great job! I was considering the possibility of doing this someday. I currently have a 2" fiberglass hood from VFN, it's nice, I like the weight of it, but fiberglass hoods don't match the quality of the stock steel one.

How did the curves/slope of the 68 scoop match up to the stock flat hood? I would have liked to see some pics of the weld and metal work.

Man that is incredible! Congratulations on your skill and hard work.

Can't wait to see that on a car.
