Re: 82-88 Discs to 89-92/Pics and Part Numbers
To make it easier I will just buy the complete kit for the front: http://www.spohn.net/shop/1982-1992-...e-Package.html
Note that spindle modification will still be required with the kit.
As for the rear of the vehicle. The Link do not appear to be sure friendly link it is for the front. Since mine is a 1991 is there and major mods needed to get the 1LE package there? Please explain.

Re: 82-88 Discs to 89-92/Pics and Part Numbers
You are correct 92 is the 25 anni. My VIN is for the 91 z28 and it does have the 25th anniv logo in it, all stock. There must be the production range brake off. The beginning of 92 and ending of 91. My was built in 7/91 only 5 months before the new year. But I don't know for sure. Either way, There is not difference between the two that I have noticed.
For the brakes had the 1LE kit installed and I already have the correct master cylinder and my rear calipers are already aluminum i can not stop faster at higher speeds. Definitely worth the conversion. Thank you all.

Re: 82-88 Discs to 89-92/Pics and Part Numbers
Quick question to James, or anyone else who has redone the rear brakes. I just got a 1991 Formula with the rear disks, and in searching for hoses for the rear, I am wondering why the driver’s side is so much longer than it really needs to be? Why not use two of the short passenger side hoses on both sides? Anyone know the point of that long drives side hose?

Re: 82-88 Discs to 89-92/Pics and Part Numbers
I apologize if this question annoys anyone, but I have searched and searched and I can't seem to get myself comfortable with this answer and want to make sure I understand before I start buying aimlessly.
I have an '85 9 bolt rear end with the moraine discs. Do I understand correctly that to mount the PBR style caliper, my moraine caliper brackets will not work and I will need to buy aftermarket brackets from some place like Ed Miller, remove the axles, remove the Moraine brackets and install the aftermarket bracket?

All I had to do was mod the spindles that the calipers mount to. If your getting the 1LE kit will will have all that's needed to install. But there a piece of the spindle that needs to be removed. Not sure if this helps.

Re: 82-88 Discs to 89-92/Pics and Part Numbers
i know its been a while but im hoping someone in this thread may have a set of old 1le rotors laying around. I need a set to make into hubs and refuse to waste new money on new parts only to hack them into hubs.

Re: 82-88 Discs to 89-92/Pics and Part Numbers
I had mine put on just this past July, wow thats 6 months ago. Anyway I bought Cross drilled and slotted Rotors for the 1LE conversion. So the old solid one I should still have lying around. I will check for you. Get back with me I will have an answer for you. Just keep in mind there heavy so if I was to ship them it might be almost 50.00 to ship but I will have more accurate answers for you this weekend.

The driver's side line is different. The original went to the front of the axel and didn't require a hose. Note: The bracket here has been discontinuted by GM, but you can buy it from AndyZ28. If not, Classic Tube has a univeral that will fit, I think: Classic Tube - PreBent and Custom Stainless and OE Brake Lines and more... Go to Braided Hoses and then to the bottom of the page. Classic Industries also carries brake line brackets, P/N 393737. Classic Industries, Specialists in GM muscle car restoration and performance parts.
For a better view of the above, see p. 628 of the Classic Industries Cat. The brackets are L-shaped and include horseshoe clips.
The e-brake cables are from CarQuest (P/N BRK 8788, 1st design, 1434 mm--if the CarQuest cable is unavailable, I understand that the following is a replacement ACDELCO 18P1104). The original GM cable is discontinued (GM P/N 10164125). I had to use a Dremel to slightly enlarge the retangular slot on the caliper end of the cable to make it fit the parking brake lever. Two minutes work.
Ed Miller has added the following cables to his site:
http://www.flynbye.com/catalog/i199.html
Take note that installing the springs can be an issue. The link below simplifies the job:
