82 and 84 Trans am. Central IL
As some of you may remember, I bought these the summer before last. I posted this thread https://www.thirdgen.org/forums/memb...m-central.html and this thread. https://www.thirdgen.org/forums/mid-...y-new-car.html They have both been stored in my shed since. As it happens, from time to time, We just haven't had the time or motivation to do much with them. I have had the 82 out on the road at highway speed. Not sure I'd take off cross country in it, but it seems pretty solid. The 84 is definitely rougher. Runs, but needs attention. It will drive around the yard or onto a trailer. The 82 has appx 76xxx miles, auto, crossfire, pw/pl, tilt, cruise, air, t top. The 84 I believe is around 120xxx,305 carb, auto, coupe, pw/pl, tilt, cruise, air. I have more pics, and can text/email those and any specific requests. With tax time approaching, I thought I'd put them up here before craigslist/facebook to give the real enthusiasts first shot. These are both fairly unmolested, no aftermarket stereos/amps/hackjobs. I may be able to deliver within reason and financial motivation. $3000 for the 82, $1250 for the 84, or $3500 for the pair. Cash is king, but offers and trades may be considered.

I dont think you're out of line. I wouldn't mind having that 82....but I have way too many irons in the fire right now. Good luck with the sale. Do you have the bowling ball huncaps?

I added the interior pics I had handy into this album.. I also added some of the bad spots on the body. Phoenix was hard on the paint.

The '82 would make a neat project if I were looking. GLWS!

An interesting development this morning. A friend called me offering a 2006 chevy 2wd truck with a 5.3l and 4L60. Its high mileage, but complete and running. Looks like the perfect driveline swap for the 84 to me. I could pick it up pretty reasonably and pass it along as a package deal if anyone is interested...

Both are still here. I have a member that sounds like he's likely to take the 84. I have to get some time to get him some more pics as well, so I'll just post them up here. I've been talking to another member off and on for quite awhile about the 82, but the stars haven't lined up for it to work out yet...

I'll try to get some more up soon. I'm going to get some underneath. The paint is pretty thin and dead. The previous owner actually waxed through it. It looks decent wet, but pretty chalky dry. If there are any specific requests, lmk..

Thanks for replying. I have been trying to get in touch with you about the car. I am still very interested in the car. I wanted to know if it was still in running condition. I live in Massachusetts. Thank you.

Re: 82 and 84 Trans am. Central IL
Nothing has changed from any info I have posted as far as I know. I would expect it to start/run/drive just as it has since I got it.

The first person standing in my driveway with the cash gets it. I'm done trying to schedule around shipping and talking to shady shippers. The next spare minute I get, they're going on craigslist and facebook. I may accept a fair offer, but if I'm going to give them away it will be to a young kid looking for a cool project.

Please send me your email address. I am very interested in the T/A. Let me know how you would like to receive the payment. Since I live in Masssachusetts, I would have to have the car shipped to me. I would set that up. Thank you.
