I know you are gonna think I am crazy, but I know it exists because I used to drive it all the time..

This is going to be a tribute car to my late fiance,who died in a motorcycle wreck in 2001. He owned an 88 Firebird for most of the time that I knew him, but sold it about 2 years before he died. I am looking to re-create the car (since I can't find the one he sold!) and to hand it down to my son, who is named after him.

I will haul the car from almost anywhere in NA (I'm in NC)if I can find what I am looking for. Would prefer not to buy a red car, since repainting is a pain in the *** with red (I'm going to white).

MUST be automatic!

As you can see from the first pics, this was NOT a GTA, Trans Am OR a Formula. NO T-Tops, had the regular wing, etc. Honeycomb rims..I have no idea if the dealer put those on, or what.

I need one with a decent body and an ORIGINAL engine. Chips, throttle body mods and exhaust mods are fine, as are other various things..just a clean body (major dings fine, front clip missing is ok; paint gone/primer, whatever) and decent interior.

Thanks, Street Lethal, but I had already seen that one, and if you look reeeely closely, it actually isn't a reg firebird... check the view from the seat. There's a scoop on the hood, effectively hidden by the primer. Also, power windows gave it away..most likely,the one I am looking for does not have them.
