In a few months looking for a v8 bird with stick

I am getting a job now, I have about 500.... I'n a few months i'll be looking for a bird with a v8. I really like banshee styles but let me know what ya got. Looking for somthing close to the 90's gens. Price somewhere around 1-2k
Ps. not looking for project cars, somthing that doesn't need much or any work.

LOL, Yea right $1-2K and not a project car.....I've been looking for 3 years for the right one. Let me tell you that in that range your going to have work to do. Anything in that range is higher mileage and by default needs work. Want something that's not figure $5k and up. You may luck out on one for around $3-4 but I wouldn't hold my breath on it......

Good luck!!

Oh thanks. Don't really know what they go for. I don't mind if it needs brakes or the smaller stuff. Just not somthing where I got to mess with electronics / engine/tranny. I don't care about paint either. so it's not like it has to be mint

Took me three months to find my 91'bird (305TBI) Got it for $2,700 and thought that was a steal! Still had to put 400 bucks into it for basics (brake overhaul, complete tune up) You still can get one! your just gonna have to save longer.... Don't be discouraged!

haha yeah. I got a v6 auto firebird for 500$ on craigslist from someone who got rear ended. Not too bad. 140k miles runs strong. just needs brakes, and new springs as far as I know of. I just want another car to mess around with the clutch

Re: In a few months looking for a v8 bird with stick

dude i looked for a firebird for a year and a half and found my 305 tbi 92 firebird for 2100 bucks. sure it needed brakes and tires and an oil change when i first got it, and recently it needed a cap and rotor and plugs and wires (i drove it for a year no problem until this)...but i dont regret my buy, i love it man, and u will too. its not perfect but its mine. keep your hopes up and keep searching, its what i did, and it sure payed off.

Re: In a few months looking for a v8 bird with stick

Dam, I paid $400 for my bird, running and driving, needed brake pads, shoes and whl cylinders. I still need to replace the floors (about $800) and the alt. So, I'm putting $1400 into mine and it'll be drivable. Of course, I have to have the paint perfect so I guess it won't be drivable to me

Just find a stupid hillbilly like I did and you'll get one cheap, some idiot is selling an 84 z28 that's perfectly drivable for 1k here.
