Headliner Group Purchase
We are opening a group purchase for both headliners and headliner kits for hardtop and ttop 82-92 Camaros and Firebirds. I know alot of members here also have 4th gens, so we are including 93-02 headliners in the offer as well.
Headliners have an ABS board, not fiberglass like the factory originals. They are available in a variety of colors which match the original colors very closely. We can mail you fabric samples of any specific colors you are interested in. Take a look at our online catalog to see available colors.
Specifically included in the GP are the following...
82-92 Hardtop Headliner
82-92 Ttop Headliner
82-92 Hardtop Headliner/Sun Visors/Sail Panels Kit
82-92 Ttop Headliner/Sun Visors/Sail Panels Kit
93-02 Hardtop Headliner
93-02 Ttop Headliner
82-92 Hardtop Headliner Uncovered Board
82-92 Ttop Headliner Uncovered Board
82-92 Hardtop Sunvisors
82-92 Ttop Sunvisors
If we can gather 10 people to order, we can offer the headliners at $140, headliner kits at $210, headliner uncovered boards at $105, and sunvisors at $55. We can only ship these within the 48 states. Headliners ship via UPS Ground oversize for $44. Sunvisors ship for $15.
The GP will be closing on October 21st (extended from September 30th), at which time we will place orders with the manufacturer. They typically take 3-10 business days to ship, since headliners are made once ordered. However, they may take a bit longer depending on work load (the case with a group purchase). Feel free to ask any questions.
Members in on the GP:
cocacolakidd (9-27-06)
kyle folds (9-28-06)
gearhead0384 (10-01-06)
If you would like to be added to the group purchase, PM or email me and let me know.

Well, I'm kinda surprised as well that there hasn't been much interest. If this is bad timing for some of you guys, we can work something out and move the GP deadline.

Sounds like a great group purchase. I for one would like the dateline set ahead a bit so I could plan the budget around the purchase.
Do these headliners have all of the holes cut? I have noted that some do, and some do not. On the ones that do not have the holes cut (Seat Belt holes, Overhead consol/light hole, and visors holes), one has to cut their own - by some method???
I am tentative for now, according to the dateline, very interested though.
Thanks, Ed

I may be interested also if you guys are going to do it in red for a 86 Trans Am. Read the original post, said made to order, will you be able to do a kit in red (headliner, sunvisors, speaker covers)?
Thanks
Thanks

I'm really interested - but -
Is it possible to just get the T-top headliner and sunvisors? My sail panels are fine and don't need replacing. Just wondering.

Well, we can try to work things out to try to accomodate everybody. With regards to moving the deadline, I don't want to move it too far forward, as I'm sure some folks don't want to wait a long time to get theirs in. Does moving the deadline 2 weeks be sufficient for you guys? If not, let me know what you have in mind.
The headliners arrive with the holes cut for the dome light, sun visors, and seat belts on the headliner board, but not the fabric. Its very simple and straightforward to cut though.
Yes, the headliners can be made in red, along with the sunvisors and sail panels. You can view fabric samples here... Headliner Samples
Colors are slightly different in person than on your screen due to variations with your monitor, and the camera that took the picture. If you PM me with your mailing address, we can ship you fabric samples of whichever colors you are interested in.
We will go ahead and include the uncovered headliner boards in the GP for $105, as well as sunvisors for $55(currently not listed on our catalog).

Hello all,
I would vote on three weeks, but could settle for two weeks if that is all there is. I would just have to borrow some green from my Bro.
In the samples I found a color FBH-1 Black. I hope I can get this number ordered as it looks to be leatherette (ABS, Vinal, or a material other than cloth). Is that what I'm looking at? Or is it a cloth type?
Any way thanks for all, Ed.

I'm ready to order, but if some people need time, then I understand. Won't get around to the install until next spring anyhow. Let me know about this.

Well, we have one vote for a 3 week extension.... lets move the date then to October 21st. That should give everyone plenty of time.
Some of the colors on the pic showing the fabric samples were not originally used on thirdgens, but we have had the manufacturer make headliners using non stock fabric colors. They probably could make one in FHB-1, I would have to contact them to find out for certain. The material looks like vinyl or similar, I am not familiar with it since thirdgens weren't available with non-cloth headliners.
If anyone has decided to get in on the group purchase, pm me and let me know so we can keep a list at the top of the post.

I apologize, but the manufacturer will not ship Internationally. Due to the size or the package, UPS only ships these via oversize ground.
We are at 3 members that have decided to jump in. I spoke with a board member recently on the phone that wanted to order, along with 2 or 3 buddies, but I have not heard back from him.
Doesn't look like we will be reaching the 20 member requirement for the group purchase. I'm going to lower this down to 10, which is more realistic considering we are getting close to the cutoff date, but I will keep pricing the same.

Well, we have missed the original 20 member minimum as well as the recent change to a 10 member minimum miserably. We are still at 3 members total. I'm quite surprised, I thought there would have been significant interest from board members.
Anyways, even though we aren't going to meet the minimum, I'll honor the pricing for those of you that are on the list (and anyone else that jumps in between now and the 21st).
We will be placing orders with the manufacturer on the 21st. Those of you that are ready to order can do so now if you like. You can give us a call at 786-317-4353 M-F 11 AM to 6 PM eastern time. Please mention that you are part of the group purchase when you call.
