Just PMed RPM graphics and got a reply. He currently makes LSX hats...

He told me if we get 5 peope to commit he will put T.P.I where the LSX is and Tuned Port Injection under it along with a bowtie on the rear for $31 a hat. Color choices are free. I think thats a good deal for a 100% custom hat. He also stated without something on the back of the hat it would be cheaper.

Why don't we emulate the LSX hat and make the 'I' red with the white outline? Since the LTX hat is similar maybe it'll give it a brand heritage feeling? Instead of a bowtie on the back have it say Tuned Port Injection? Just tossing out ideas.
Doesn't matter who we pay to me. I think if we pay him directly it'll save you (nuf) a step. Oh and again congrats on the magazine cover. Can't wait to see the article.

You lost me, we were planning on "TPI" hats not "IROC-Z" hats. Or do you mean have the TPI in the iroc-z font. I'm cool with that too even though my tuned port is a firebird. Street Lethal is Pontiac too. Anybody else have thoughts of what they want or don't want?

Personally, I like the idea of just a simple TPI in the front, centered, and the bowtie in the back. Not sure I am a fan of the LSX hat. Also liked Benc1's suggestion too but need the hat guy to tell what he can do and/or recommends. He should be able to send images for everyone to see too.

 

Here are some pictures of the hat the foilin guys came up with. My brother is into boating and I prefer camaros. I like the black hats.

 

So I was playing around with Corel a little and here are a few ideas.

 

I like the T.P.I. in the iroc font. May be without the periods? TPI? And I'm personally fine with the bowtie on the back as it is a chevy engine but I can take it or leave it. I'd still like it to say tuned port injection somewhere as it can stand for anything otherwise, teeth per inch, titleist performance institute, toilet paper integration etc. I made the last one up.

TPI, no periods. In IROC-Z font, with Tuned Port Injection spelled out underneath in a solid font in the same orientation as the LSX hat @ the top

 

I like that. Nuf, Street, rwstegne, your thoughts? We'll have to see what the hat maker says too.

Just an idea, but I would like to see something like this up front, same script, but spelling out Tuned Port Injection instead of the just TPI, with the same bowtie to its' right (picture left) and checkered flag to its' left (picture right). I don't need anything in the back...

 

I had some time to mess with some fonts. I'm not set on anything, plus we're still waiting on nufnuffz28.
