Its too bad this didnt get brought up earlier, seems like alot of people just bought swap headers. I tried posting over at LS1Tech but its not letting me post at the moment.

 

Lame well lets hope this picks up. Really would like these hawks headers, but those eBay ones are back up. Still going to be patient and wait a little longer for better quality

 

Arent the ebays 1 5/8" though, I really want atleast 1 3/4".

 

Yes they are smaller but there longtubes. Just wanting to get my ls sounding a little different

 

Got my set today, wasnt even expecting them so that was a nice surprise. They look very good and a steal at half the price of SSW's. Unfortunately the car wont be ready to go back together for a while so I wont know how fitment is. If anyone else gets a chance to report on that let us know! I thought this was for the 1 5/8" primes w/ 3" collectors? if it's 1 3/4 I might join.

I thought so too, then I looked a Hawks web site, and they no longer list the 1 5/8. I think 699 was the price of the 1 5/8.

 

How did I miss this? If it's still good, I'm in. Anybody know?

Why are these called budget headers. What's the difference between the regular longtube headers and the budget ones?

These are made in china. Some corners were cut in production, but they are a fully functional header

I have delt with them. Good guys but hard to get a hold of. I had the first prototype 1 7/8 headers they were going to make but unfortunately they didnt fit. They fit first gens but were way off on my car even with the UMI kmember. The dont have a test car anymore so they kinda eyeballed it with the 1 7/8. Someone should contact them if they are close and see if they can work with using a car to make the 1 7/8. If it matters, the prototype they sent me looked really good.

 

Mines fit didn't have much clearance issues if any
