Iroc History
Iam trying to find out any info on my Iroc, previous owners, origional registration etc.. the car lives in England now and id like to know where & what it was doing whilst in the states, anyone got any ideas???????????
About the only other thing you can do is find out who the previous owner was, and call them for some interogation... if they can tell you who they got it from you can call the next owner down the list, and just keep going.
Im gradually tracing the previous UK owners, but until i find out who imported im not really getting anywhere, i believe the car went to Canada from new going by the Z49 RPO code, its a hard job this history business but it'll be worth it if i ever get to the stage of actually talking to a previous US owner or seeing some pics, id really like to know the cars origional registration number as it has a new id over here. cheers anyway!

It's an '86 5.0 TPI in Black with gold decals & wheels (RPO 88A), Saddle custom interor, Non T-Top, air con, power windows, cruise etc, 87,000 miles, etc etc...
Only bought it 3 weeks ago, very clean, wanted a black one especially with the gold, it cost me just under £3000 and it was only about 10 miles away! couldn't believe my luck. Have to admit i did look at some others but not so nice for more money.
Dont have any pics as yet, sorry.

are there many 3rd gens and or other american muscle cars over there? Kinda weird thinking of a chevelle or something as an import
You bet!! there are **** loads.
I live in a place called Canvey island, its about 20 miles east of London, it is an island but not like the Florida Keyes! I suppose its proberly 5 miles square & i know of at least 4 Irocs, 3 Gta's, a few 67-69 Mustangs, a couple of older Trans Am's, a corvette, and a handful of not so interesting models!
There are penty more in the local surrounding areas.
Every wednesday there is a car meet at one of my local pubs and during the summer the place is packed! i'd say about 40-50 cars thats without the streetrod lads in their Pops & other V8 euro stuff.
American cars are well liked over here!

:lala: Isle of man? You mean the TT? thats bikes! I dont know about driving the car round the track, but as far as i know the curcuit is just closed public roads! so go out of TT season & you be ok.
Nburg is suppose to be real good, a couple of my mates went there last year.
There are lots of car shows here & RWYB's (run wot u brung), there are plenty of them to keep you busy.
