Just curious to know if this car is possible. It claims to be a 1991 Trans Am, L98 350, t-tops. Claims to be the ONLY one made that way, that year. Forget about the trans, I'm not interested in that since it already says it's from a different year IROC. Just curious to know if anyone has info on a 1991 Trans Am, 350, t-tops. As far as I knew, they made none that way, that year. If you don't know for sure, don't answer with unrelated stuff.. just having a hard time finding a definitive answer to this question. thanks

If you read close enough, you'll note the transmission is out of an '88 Iroc. It's not stock. There are other posts that would also put the 350 (L98) combined with the t-tops (cc1) as suspect. I noticed the seller left the VIN # off the ad. If you contact them ask for the VIN and a picture of the RPO sticker in the rear "glove" box (in the trunk). Decode each of them and find out what the car came with from the factory.

uh huh. and if you read close enough, you'll note that I was already aware of that and not interested in it, and I asked that if you didn't have an answer to my question, just ignore it and move on.

All I'm asking is: Is a 1991 Trans Am with factory L98 and factory t-tops possible [Y/N]

Pardon me

YES

Every single thread related to a possible 91-92 350 with t-tops gets the same answer "THERE ARE DOCUMENTED 91-92 3RD GEN'S THAT CAME FROM THE FACTORY WITH THE 350 AND T-TOPS." In fact there is another thread right now asking the very same question! https://www.thirdgen.org/techbb2/sho...hreadid=114634

Is this particular car legit?

GET THE DOCUMENTATION AND FIND OUT.

Kizz, what crawled up your hind end today? The attitude of correcting people in other posts, that aren't wrong, and starting off with a pissy attitude here isn't gonna get you the help you are looking for. Since you only want to hear from people that can be verified, do a search for it on this site next time!!! :hail: :hail:

It's all good.

FWIW I asked the seller for the VIN. It decoded indicating a Trans Am with an LB9, but an incorrect assembly plant code. The SPID is not available at this time.

A wombat? I dunno.

If I corrected someone about the LS1 not being a 350, then I stand behind that. It's not a 350, it's 346 cubic inches.
