1985 berlinetta

i found a 1985 camaro berlinetta with a 350 out of a '70s truck. the engine has less than 50k on rebuild. the transmission is messed up (no 1st gear) it has t-tops, is blue with black stipes, automatic, 2.5 inch exhaust piping, no cats, no heater or air.

does it sound worth $2000?

I don't think 2000 is a good price. I think the owner wants to recover some of the cost of rebuilding the motor that is currently in there. I would say the car is worth half that (at the most).

That's way too much in my opinion...

Good call.

i decided i shouldnt get it, but i found a project that would be more fun anyway. my great grandpa has a 1946 chevrolet business coupe, all original parts, no rust on the body at all, it has an inline 6 cylinder engine (original) and the original transmission. hes selling it for $650. the only thing its missing in the radiator and some lights, but it needs all new interior (though the dash and all the guages are perfect) and needs new windows. it needs pain because the old pain is faded (its not even chipped or rusted, just a little faded) it looks like its going to be a fun (long) project

I paid $600 for my 84 SC. It ran at the time, but that's about it. Also found another 84 SC with a 2.8/auto. Looked brand new inside and out. They wanted $1450.
