Theft recovery
Hey'lo
I'm new, and haven't researched my car, but have owned only GM in the past ...two '82 Cutlass Supreme coupes, an '84 Eldo Biarritz and now a third gen 1989 350 Formula convertible Firebird!
Mine has re-issued VIN underhood, but no other 'vital stats' I've been able to locate. Does the new VIN offer me any headway on history?
I was told about the codes for options and had something akin to that on the trunk lid of my 84 Cad. Eldo.
I haven't on my Bird. I'm the third owner.
TIA,
Bill S.

Hey guys, thanks...
BUT, don't most 'chop shops' etc., already know these locations?
(if they're pro?)
The VIN in the window is gone and a Pennsylvania reissued VIN is on the passenger side under the hood (on the inside fender, below the window)
I haven't seen any additional plaques in the locations suggested that aren't under trim.

another PIC:
... a couple more original glossy photos I shot of my car are not saved yet (to PC), but maybe later. I'll document the transformation from current roadwary condition, but these are from several years prior to now.
