It's your car, do what you want.
It's also your car/problem if you don't have the stones
to back up the badge. My 89RS convt still sports RS
emblems even though it has a complete IROC suspension and then some and a ZZ4TPI, Tripp Tranny and 3:23 posi disc rear.
The dash emblem does say ZZ4 Tuned Port Injection and the bumper does have the 5.7 Tune Port Injection emblem, just some fair warning.

I looked at several thirdgen Camaros before I settled on a 1989 V6 RS... I could have got an IROC or Z28, but the insurance rates are higher for the 8 cyl. And the car I got has a flawless body, new paint, and the guy just put a new V6 and transmission in. So to the point... I am gradually adding parts to make it look like an IROC *without* putting the IROC badges on it. (just the grille, gfx stripe, hood, wheels, tail lenses). It still will always say RS. I don't think there's anything wrong with that... still Honda guys say it stands for "Really Slow".

my car has a TA hood, the performance badge on the dash, and a TA glove compartment..... now before you jump down my throat, it does have a performance suspension (sway bars, springs, etc. WS7)... so I dont think that's a sin.... also, i LOVE the look of the TA hood (vents rock).... I found the TA glove compartment at a junk yard for $.50, and my old one was ripped (that's the only thing that's kind of bad) but if i found another firebird one in good condition i'd get it.

I'm for it. I started with a '90 firebird and added the hood, GFX, spoiler, wheels, full WS6 suspension, 9bolt rear, tail lights, gauge cluster, interior badges, AND the L98. I'd say its done right, wouldn't you?

I really don't care too much, I have a problem with the incorrect badging like a A-hole around here with a beat up 305? I think its a 87 or 86 plain firebird with firehawk decals on it and they are not even close to the real decals much less the car. they are plain block letters down the side of the car
and I hate seeing those fake formula's (v6, plain v8 with the steel rims, standard spoiler, standard hood, when they do it to the 82-84 ones
) when I bought my formula they were few around now there are more formulas than suv trucks
