Wher is the vin on the chassis of these cars I have one that I am not sure of and befor I do anything to the car I would like to double check things.

 

Check on the doors, hood or any large parts they all have the Vin number on them.

 

inside fenders,doors,hood,hatch,rear quarter panals,both steel bumpers.

 

The manufacturing label on the drivers door has it. Also your RPO label inside your console.

 

I was actually wondering if anyone knew the location of the one on the unibody its self the one that cannot be changed.

 

I have been all through my car and to be honest I never ran across it.

On my 89 Formula I have a second vin number on my hatch. Check there.

 

Correct, The body panels for a range of years, I know 87 - 89 and I am pretty sure 1990 also has them, my 91 did not... But on each panel, the fneders, quarters, doors, hood, and hatch, as mentioned above they had stickers... now with a little time and little effert you can reproduce them on any PC.

I think what he is looking for is another metal stamped VIN that they place in an odd area that few people would find...

Mine is metal stamped.. same as the one in windshield.

Exactly but from what the local PD told me last night I have nothing to worry about so I am just not going to worry about it.
