...yes, t-tops will be nice....
...but I think, a colored air dam looks better...
btw...my 91 TA (not GTA) was equipped with a colored air dam, when I got the car in 1992...
...and the center caps say WS6, silver letters on black caps.......and the 16 x 8 "Diamond Spoke" GTA-alu-rims are colored in "charcoal metallic", not black...

No, 91/92 cars didn't come with fender vents.
That's another great drawing by the way. I love how you've paid attention to every detail. Even the black mirror gaskets are there.
/edit: Just noticed one missing detail though. Where are the rear side markers? And yes, a T-Top version would be nice. I'll print out that picture and try to get a photo of my car ('92 Firebird with T-Tops) from the same angle tomorrow.

You've got some real skill!
Would you mind doing a Hardtop 1991 GTA in black? Just a computer graphic.
Thanks!

Hey, 91 Trans Am/GTA guys,
Do you have 2 air dams or one? I know theres one on the front bumper, but do you have a second one closer the radiator?
Also, on the front air dam, which cars had the 1 piece, and which cars had the 3 piece?
Thanks!
Bill

you mean like this?
Jeremy,
I think there is little or no chance of it at this point...
1) I really gave up, I submitted my stuff to GM (Equity Management) shortly thereafter the new owners of TGO took over and made it for-profit. GM won't let a For profit group sell designs & logos unless they pay out the nose.
2) I have more pressing issues now that I am married have 2 kids, and a PMSing wife.

John, that looks really nice. A little bit of reflection and/or gradation in the nose to enhance definition might be in order for the black cars; that's a lot of black there in the front to get lost in. Overall, it is excellent.
Even with my commercial art degree, I'd be hard pressed to better that by hand. Wish you could profit from them, but GM is a stickler when it comes to using anything of theirs for profit without proper licensure.

I thought I would share a later version of the car with you...

Now that's a nice one, too, John. Very good job. I'm partial to that red as well.... but I like th eblack too. When you have each color, it's hard to pick a favorite sometimes.
An art degree is not required to be a good artist, my friend.... only the talent. I missed out on the computer art revolution and was trained in the hands-on-paper style of illustration. I got out of school in '88, and the computer art revolution was just then starting to gather momentum. I was probably three to five years too late to really cash in.
But the ol' eyes have started to fail me in the years since I graduated from college; I don't ever pick up a pen or pencil anymore hardly. I sat down last week to do a 3rdGen Firebird logo for my website, and it took me three tries to get it right. In the old days, that would have been a ten-minute freehand job.
Kinda depressing....

We need to get your designs on a shirt.
If we could get them made by someone who already has a license, they could always do custom order shirts for us with thirdgen on them lol
I want to see those things get made :-(

So would lots of us.
It wont happen since this is a "for profit" website now. Unless someone coughs up some fat licensing fees.
I was involved in it a very small amount at the time.
Okfoz and Dirk were the ones trying to move the mountains to make it happen.
He still has the best damned t-shirt designs for thirdgens I have ever seen.
I can dream lol

BTW, the drawing above I have more than 12 hours into it. People want me to give it to them for free... On the one hand I can say that ok, yeah sure I have it done and my work is done, but on the other hand I really am proud of my work and it did not come cheep to me either. I am considering approching a T-shirt guy and see if he wants to make a 3rd gen shirt, but I am not ready yet.
I remember my art teacher saying "Art is painful" I now realize what he is talking about,
1) you have the agony of working with the media
2) you have to take any critical opinions good or bad.
3) you have to look at it for what it is.

I took the liberty of photo"chopping" your artwork into a vert ... hope you're not offended. It looks kinda photoshopped, but I thought some people might want to see it. There are no seats showing (which looks kinda weird) and the spoiler is a little off, but my car is a red 92 vert, so I thought I would give it a shot.

i still have one of the early shirts. it's a red formula. at the time i only had a base model and you had no base model shirts.. anyway, i wear it to all the car shows and gatherings despite it being a bit on the small side.

T-Shirts
A very good friend of mine owns a company that makes printed t-shirts. If I am not mistaken he already has a GM license and I know I could get him to produce shirts with these designs. I have a 91' GTA, so I would love to get these pictures on a shirt. Of course, I would not want to do anything without the approval of the artist. Last time I had him make shirts with a custom picture he charged me about $13 a piece.
If you guys are interested let me know.

I would be interested if you inquire.
If he does indeed have the GM license, then we might be able to work something out.
let me know by PM if possible.
