Some of us have been chasing around some information regarding the Legendary Aluminum Hoods that were put on early 1982 Cross Fire Trans AMs. But we are discovering that the part numbers are the same for both the Aluminum and the Steel Hoods.
I think Specifically were looking for 1982 & 1983

the link below states that they sell an 82-92 stock formula bolt-on hood made of fiberglass... i am currently waiting for pictures...

There is a date stamp with it. There is another date stamp on the drivers side edge of the hood toward the front.
I have noticed that the date stamp on the hood shows that it was made about 2-3 weeks before the the car was assembed (date on cowl tag).

I know thats were i looked for 5 minutes during the day but no numbers i found the #'s on the pass side of all 3 hoods of my 85 t/a kitt replica w 82/84 cowl hood and 82 s/e both had 10014649 .
I wear glasses so i'll have to recheck all 3 cars again When i have time.

Could be possible but doubt it since the hood has the small gold bird decal in the front.
