how much would i get for my car??

there's another nice thirdgen in my area that am interested in but would need to sell my 91 formula 350 first. i was wondering how much would i be able to get for it. the motor runs great, has no misses, a couple very minor leaks underneath, paint body and interior are straight. i posted it on the auto trader asking $5500. received 3 calls so far. i've had it for about 2 years and have taken excellent care of it. car itself has about 156K miles but the motor isn't original and was rebuilt at some point. i'm guessing it was also repainted at some point. about 3 months ago or so i put on rebuilt L98 heads. tranny has no problems. shifts nice and firm.
has been very dependable since i've had it. everything i've done to it has been either maintenance stuff or modifications for performance.

the only bad part is the motor has a very quick startup knock as soon as it starts. i've had the car so long i dont remember when it started. i know it wasn't like that when i bought it but it's also been doing it for a while but engine has been dynoed twice and has gone to the track a few times with no problems. best the car ran was 14.4@96.

i know $5500 is probably too much but i dont think i'd go lower than $4500 on it. lemme know what you think!

below are some of the mods and here are some more pics

I don't see "Formula 350" decals.. just "Formula"... is it a real formula 350, or a formula 305 with a 350 swapped in?

the eighth VIN is an 8 so it's a real Formula 350. i believe in 91-92 they did away with the 350 in the decal.

well i had an 89 Iroc that i just sold no more than 4 months ago and i got 4200 for it. It had the original 350 and roughly 89k when i sold it. it was pretty stock except exhaust and shift kit and air foil. and it was in great condition, both outside and especially inside. i really dont see you getting 4500 for it with that many miles, but you may, it depends on a lot of things really, where you live and what they go for around you, if you find the right buyer, etc... i bought my 92 RS that had been lady driven for 11 years, with 120k on it for 2500 bucks, so it's just all about who and what you find. but on a sorta side note, if your like me the day after you sell it you will kick yourself because it's the dumbest thing you've ever done. atleast that's what i did. but good luck!

oh and one last thing, mods dont usually help sell a car, unless it's exactly what someone is looking for, but you probably know that.

Hmm, I paid $2100 for my 91RS with 97k. Then again it had almost no options (had the ones that count though, the v8 and F41 suspention).
Depends on your area to, around here thirdgens arn't very deseriable, where in other areas they might be. I don't think your going to get 4500 for it, but if you try long and hard enough you may. You need to find the people who don't know a windshield wiper from a transmission, so when they hear the list of mods they know it has stuff they can brag about to there friends

I think you could get what your asking out of it, especially since spring/summer is fastly approaching.

But what the real question is, what kind of thirdgen do you wanna get if youre getting rid of a 91 formy 350?

i was interested in a very clean 87 GTA that's going for about 4500. the paint is near perfect as well as the interior. i thought it over and decided to just keep my Formula. mine may not be as nice but i like the fact it's more rare and you dont see too many of 'em around.

I dont know about all that, looks really nice to me. Its not like you cant fix the paint or the interior. Besides, IMO, the 91-92 pontiac cars are the nicest thirdgens.

I got my 1984 Trans am For $700. But it didn't run. Needed about $150 in work. So a running L69 motor for less than 1k...not bad I think.
