1987 IROC Build Sheet
1987 IROC Build Sheet
This was beneath driver's seat cushion of an '87 IROC. Is this a build sheet? Is this THE build sheet? Might there be others?
I ask because those I've seen in past seem to have more information.

That looks like one of the build sheets. There are two of them in the car, and they are different. I had found both of them in my 89 IROC when I pulled the interior out. Hopefully I will find them when I pull the 92 Z's interior out.

This is a build sheet: http://www.iroc-z.com/1987pages/1987...buildsheet.htm
I apologize if this might be a repeat topic on Thirdgen. Don't want to beat a dead horse if it is. But, as long as we are on the subject.
OK. So I found the one "mini" buildsheet beneath the drivers seat. Where might the other be located??
By the way, the one I found beneath the driver's seat was next to another pink piece of paper with some odd info, apparently unrelated to my car. Appears to me it was a piece of scrap paper the factory used to sandwich the build sheet between the foam and springs, like to protect it. Just curious if anyone else might have seen the same extra paper.
This might seem trivial now, but as our cars get older and as many of the thirdgen owners get older, originality and restoration topics like this will gain interest. If you don't think so, take a look around the web at some of the muscle car sites and the like. Those guys are concerned about the tiniest clips, screws, fasteners......and documents. It's the nature of car collecting since it started 50+ years ago.

Buildsheets can be anywhere, I found mine under the carpet on the passenger side, about where the catilitic convertor is. I have heard of them being hidden in the back of the car over the gastank, under seats, and sometimes not at all. In some cases they were discarded.
