'88 Formula and G92

I have an '88 Formula LB9/T-5 with 3.45 gears and the 140MPH speedo. I have the codes GM3,G80 and J65 but not G92. My understanding is that G92 for '88 would have been the performance axle ratio, which GM3 already gave me. I know in later years it included other things. I have searched the board/archives and not found a clear answer. So my quesion is what would G92 have given my '88 bird i don't have ?

If you have all the other RPO"s and G92 is not listed, my guess is you don't have it.

For the later birds the G92 came in a package...the RPO was RP6 or R6P i cant remember...it included the gears exhaust 4 wheel disc and the oil cooler....although all those rpos are listed..

If you have the 3.45 rear, then the bottom of your differential housing would be embossed with Borg Warner 4EW. If not, then 4EU is a 3.27, and 4ET is 2.77. Crawl under and have a look.

It's been a looooong time, lol, but I don't think anything else was included with G92, just the performance ratio(maybe speedo). I believe all other suspension upgrades were part of the WS6 option. But I'm just going from memory, lol.

Sice his car is a 305TPI 5 speed he cannot have the 3.27 or the 2.77s--those were on 350TPI cars only

If he actually has the G92. But he said his RPOs don't have it, but he's sure he does have it. So I just offered that as a way for him to confirm his G92. The G92 will be the 4EW. If it's one of the others, then he's only got posi, but no performance ratio.

My 87 is the same way, It has all the performance options, (except for the KC4 Oil Cooler) But no G92... I am thinking that it might be a Camaro only option in the early years.
