Emission's Sticker

I'm missing the emission sticker under the hood. Anyone know the best place to get a new one? I tried the dealer, but they laughed at me.

I don't know about your dealership GTA4ME, I was just talking to a friend of mine who is the service manager at the dealership here about getting a listing of the emission diagrams. He told me to go to the parts room and they could get me a emission sticker using my VIN. Again that is the dealership that I deal with.

Give Osborn's a call @ 770 962-7556. You need a DT0709, DT0710 or a DT0711 depending on your engine code.

VEHICLE EMISSION CONTROL INFO

ON WEDNESDAY OF THIS WEEK (09/08/2004) I ORDERED THE VEHICLE EMISSION CONTROL INFO DECAL (THE DEALERSHIP CALLS IT A LABEL). THEY ARE NOT A "GM" OR "AC/DELCO" ITEM, BUT RATHER AN ITEM PROVIDED BY A VENDER AND SHIPPED DIRECTLY TO THE DEALER FROM THE VENDER. IT IS ABOUT A 2 WEEK TURN AROUND TIME.

COST ME $14.00 FROM MY GM DEALER. (BILL DODGE OLDS IN BRUNSWICK, MAINE HAS THE BEST PARTS DEPARTMENT AROUND!! THANKS MARCELL AND ROGER!!)

"81PBX (10165165 (PART NUMBER))
PBX 5.0 LITER N1G5.7VANTA9 NBO-1A
VEHICLE CONTROL INFO"

ANY PARTS DEPARTMENT WORTH THEIR SALT WILL GO OUT OF THEIR WAY TO HELP A CUSTOMER. THAT IS THE JOB THAT THEY GET PAID FOR. JUST MY 2 CENTS WORTH.

GOOD LUCK!

Think you could shoot me a PM when you find something out? I got almost the same reaction from my parts guys today for my '89 IROC. I need both the belt routing and the emissions label for my restoration.

Classic Industries stocks repro decals for all years. I bought one for the '91 for $8.00 & you can't tell it from stock. Chris

Can you give me a page number in a catalog, or a part number? I was browsing the catalog last night and only saw stuff for the 2nd gen and early 3rd gen cars

If you cant find them on your Classic Ind. catalog, then you have an old one. Those stickers got added to the catalog not to long ago. Call them and tell them to send you a new one. You might find some other stuff since they have added some new 3rd gen parts.

Got the stickers i ordered yesterday. Emissions sticker (as ordered above from GM) is a 2 part decal. Just like on the car's hood (left and right).

Just a comment on this series of posts: The part numbers are on the sticker themselves. If we have friends or other members on this board, why not have them read their sticker numbers off to us, that is if they have the same powertrain as what you are looking for. Like the post said, i ordered mine straight from the GM parts counter.

Classic Industries does not list decals (sticker, labels, etc. for hose routing or emissions) for every year 3rd Gen......at least on line.

The 770- dealer is in Atlanta, like most all 770 phone #s.

Try a dealership in California. That sticker is part of the car's "emissions equipment", and a car will not pass the visual if it's not there; so they are very familiar with obtaining them. Want to guess how I know that?

Anyone know where I can get a good emissions hose routing schematic for an 89' Trans AM? Also does anyone know if there are schematics that will tell me what size vacuum lines to route? Thanks,

I know Ames Perf sells the emissions labels and vac hose routing diagrams. Even the spare jack instruction stickers.

I also want those labels for my '85 TA but the dealer told me they were discontinued, so if you guys got some links or numbers to check that'd be great, thanks.

Anyone have an 89 TBI 305 that can look at the part number on the label and let me know? I took the '92 part number shipfitter listed and plugged it in to GMPD and it came up. If anyone can help me out, I'd appreciate it. I am finishing up my paint job and there is not a label on my new hood.

Thanks
