Now I found an 88 RS

So after being out bid on that 91...I was driving around my neighborhood and I found an 88 RS for sale...It had an engine swap from a GTA...(which also happened to be in his driveway, sans engine), and the body is PERFECT (except for the damn bar scratching off the paint) except somebody keyed the door. I mean its not a 91 or anything, but my biggest concern right now is the Body, and this one is perfect. He is asking 2500...but I think I can talk him down.
The other thing I noticed was that the guy put stupid aftermarket gauges and disconnected the main gauges..I have no idea why(he said he didnt trust them)...AND the interior is RED!!! I hate red interiors...but I was planning on changing the interior to black anyway...
So basically, the car looks like more of a drag car now with air shocks in the back and huge tires...
Anyway, I was thinking of taking all of the suspension parts off of my WS6(acctually just the sway bars, with SPOHN control arms and panhard) and swapping them to the Camaro, along with new shocks. And then putting the 4th gen rear i have sitting in my garage in it. SO yeah..I dont know if I should go for it of not...I am going to look at a formula today... What do you guys think? should I give it more of a look or pass? Thanks

Alex were those cars California only?

The rest of the country got 88 SC's. RS's were 89+

The easy way to tell is, just look at the badges in the GFX, do they say "CAMARO" or "RS"? If its an SC it will say CAMARO, if its an RS it says RS.

Yep, CA car only. Came in red, white, and black.

I've also seen the '88 SC here too.

oh man..I am sorry to cause all the confusion..I meant to say 89...my T/A (RIP) was an 88...But I am starting to think that the 88 is a good deal. I mean, the interior is red, but I have an entire black interior at my house that was supposed to go into my T/A...I dunno...

Don't forget that the RS was available only in CA in 87. In 88, the car was available in a few other states including Texas and Florida.

What'samatterwitharedinterior? Kind of like red/carmine myself. Factory gauges should have worked with engine swap if he used the factory fuel injection I'm thinking.
