How rare? 1992 Formula.
Hi all, I found a 1992 Formula in a Colorado salvage auction (hit in rear) and I am wondering how rare it is. It is a 305/5 speed car, appears to have the WS6 suspension with GTA crosslace wheels. I can't tell from the pics as to if it is a 1LE car or not though. Thanks for any info. Here is the link if anyone is interested. If anyone in the Denver area wants to buy it, check your local salvage yard to see if they have an account with Klode.

id say its pretty rare.. They only made 1,017 1992 Pontiac Formulas. I doubt its a 1LE, they only made 22 of em of 92 Formula 1LEs, try to get the full vin and then decode it here on TGO https://www.thirdgen.org/newdesign/vin/
i hope this helps

Here are some stats to consider...
According to Pontiac there were only 26 Yellow Firebirds made in 1992, but I wonder if they mistated at the T/A nats and it was 26 Formulas. As a matter of fact the very first Firebird off the line in 1992 was a Yellow Formula 5 Speed, 1LE.
My data states 1052 Formulas produced in 1992. 22 of those were 1LE's
I am 99.999% positive that the car in the pic is NOT a 1LE, It has the crosslace wheels (which was an option on ANY Formula in 1992) and it has the power mirrors, which would not come on the Formula.
YES it will have the WS6 Suspension, since it appears to be a Formula, ALL Formulas came with WS6 from 87-92.
Its too bad I live in MI
IO would be all over that car... I am rather partial to Yellow tho
and I am a sucker for a Yellow Formula
You can check out my web site, its pretty much up to date, there are some issues I need to take care of for clarity, but alot of good info

okfoz - was that power mirror comment strictly for the 92's? The reason I ask is my 91 Formula came with both the power mirrors and windows....

I guess my comment was not clear... The Formula with the 1LE would not have power mirrors. Sorry. Standard Formulas the power mirrors was quite common.
The Power windows were availble with the 1LE package as the 1992 #1 has them, I have pix
.
Froste31, How much for your Yellow GTA???
