unfortunately its got rust
I don't like rust nor will I work on cars that are too rusty...
Without the engine, transmission and the rear calipers I would say its worth only $250... I would not touch that car for more than that.
If it was complete with engine I might go as high as $2000... Considering the rust & all...
With what is left I would say that there is not worth anything more than a base firebird with a V6 removed. The only difference would be the VIN.
Besides it makes all other formulas more valuable as this one is probably destined for the crusher...

Good Call about the rust Okfoz. I totally agree with you on that one. By the way, the formula 350s are rare i take it?

I would bet about 15 to 20% of Formulas were 350 cars, I really don't know for sure, but there seems to be a bunch of them.
Besides the car is no longer a Formula 350, since there is no engine...

Hey Guys,
I bought that car $500. (only for parts for my white '89 Formula 350). Car does have 3.73 gears, and Gale Banks exhaust. Also I needed a hood, rims, rear sploiler, and tail lights. Then my brother wants to take what's left and build a drag car.
So I'm not really saving this car actually probably killing it. But this car was complete and driving about 4 months ago according to the owner he just pulled the engine and tranny and sold for $2000.
Later, Garrett

Cool! I hope that this post pointed you towards it lol
Good to know that the parts will be used. I just hated to see no bidders and the guy junk it.
What is the Gale Banks exhaust?

Same Gale Banks, but unfortunately not the twin turbo exhaust

Banks was big into the performance car realm in the 80's before the diesel truck craze hit later on and they sort of took a different direction. They made a cat-back exhaust for 3rdGens that is supposed to be pretty good; I have one but do not have it on a car as of yet. I believe that they made other performance products as well.
John is correct; they built the 200-mph Trans Am that was in Car and Driver magazine in the early 80s. The car was done in stages: first handling and then performance IIRC. It featured a twin turbo 350 V8 that was.... termpermental, at best. But it did hit 200 mph and pulled over 1.0g on the skidpad.
They also built this car as well: Another Banks Car
