Want to clear something up for me

Ok, I thought that all iroc's 1985-1990 had the louvered hoods, as well as all z28's. The only exception I can think of are those rare california camaro's that were smooth hoods and no spoilers. SInce I have been in the market for a stock hood to use while my cowl gets fixed i've been noticing people selling iroc hoods with no louvers. I doubt there were that many califonia camaros, and these hoods are all on the east coast. It's just people trying to get more money for their rs/sc/berlinetta flat hoods right?

Sure sounds like it. They Z28/IROC hoods will have the louvers, or at least the indentions for them......

I believe I know the deal. Guys that advertise "IROC-Z hood with no louvers" actually means the hood is a Z28/IROC-Z hood with the indentions for the louvers but they are selling without the plastic louvers that bolt to the hood.

no...

my uncle bought a z28 off the lot when I was a kid, it had a smooth hood.

was the only one i've ever seen though, and i didn't realize it for what it was until i got older (like 5 years later, about a year before he sold the car)

Someone has switched out your factory flat hood for one off of a Z28/IROC. The ONLY hood option on the RS is a flat hood, no louvers, no hood blisters......flat.
Where you located, I have an extra flat hood and am looking for an extra Z28 hood

Of course I can't find it, but it was on ebay about a week or 2 ago. It was a red Iroc-Z.
