Whats wrong with this picture? The tach redlines at 5000 for a 5.7? Was this true in 88?

That cannot be the original tach. All 350s came with a 5,500 rpm redline tach. As old as our cars are today, it's impossible to know when a part such as this was replaced. I'll give you an example: my IROC-Z. I could sell it and not say anything about my tach. As the new owner starts researching about the car, he'll find information about redlines, compare it to his new ride and dispute this information. "Heck, my car has a 6,000 rpm redline tach!! I've never seen one of these in a 305 TPI IROC-Z. It must be extremely rare!" See how simple information can change over the years and through different ownerships?
I have yet to come across one original owner with a 350 that can verify their car was originally equipped with a 5,000 rpm redline tach, so I must conclude that this one has been replaced at some point in time.

the description of the camaro mentions that the guy can chirp the tires when the car shifts even though there is no shift kit installed...that seems hard to believe
