Oil Level Low Light?
Hello,
On my 1990 RS TBI, I pulled out the gauges the other month because the lights weren't working, so I ended up fixing that but I noticed that my car had an "Oil Level" light. I never knew this was available in 1990 vehicles, especially RS's. I thought it was an option on IROC's or something, but not even my instruction manual says anything about it even existing.
I was just wondering if there really is a sensor because whenever I change my oil I never see a sensor plugged into the oil pan so i'm just really curious why they put it there if no 1990 cars were equipped with oil level lights.

Are you sure its not a low coolant light? I know on Camaros there is a low coolant symbol in one of the "light blocks" where the choke, brake, check engine ... etc lights are.
If you look in the passenger side radiator tank between the tranny cooler lines there is a plug where the sensor would go.

I don't have a choke light I don't think, it's not carbeurated.
I'm almost 100% sure it said "OIL LEVEL". People with the half-moon cluster should look at each one of the warning lights, they will see what I am talking about.

Was there a bulb in the socket?
I was suprised myself to find an empty socket for oil level.
RS models did not have a sensor installed, but the same guage cluster was also used in Z28s which do have a sensor.

Is there an RPO or something for it.
