What is your estimation of the value of a 1991 or 1992 Firehawk?

I'll side with dan on this one :-)
Seems to be in the ballpark for people I know who have them and cars I have come across for sale.
However tuning on them is a joke. The stock bin is garbage, easy extra power and mileage from investing on tuning on an otherwise stock hawk and keepo the original stuff so no one knows :-)

#2 is for sale for less than $25K I was just wondering if that seemed fair.
I wish I had the cash I would fly out to CA and drive it home.
Program a chip and have ooooodles of fun.

Did I miss something? #002 WAS in CA but was sold a long time ago and is no longer out here. I know the current owner is interested in selling it for the right price which is around the price mentioned that Leroy sold it for.
As far as general value, can't say. Only about 5 'Hawks are actually close to the same. Some are very extreme in options and others are lacking even standard options. Some have prototype parts and some are even real "VIN" 'Hawks. Also still other have fairly high mileage and are driven very hard while others are extremely low mileage trailer queens. Some have been in wrecks and rebuilt, some have been modified, aome have been neglected in storage.
If you want a REAL value contact me. I know virtually all the owners, know which have been sold when, where, and how much. I also have a database of ALOT of info which is not publicly known.

Hi guys! Glad to see a Firehawk thread. What is available now that was not abused Alex. Just saw #6 was sold, don't know actual price, but new owner has photos on firehawk.org which was very nice as well as Joe, owner #11. The rest of owners don't post nothing on these cars, come on and show some stuff on these classics. Andy

About 4 years ago I saw one for sale in a local Pontiac Dealer. A guy down the street from where I grew up used to own it. I rode in it once, man did I want that car but at the time I didn't have the money they wanted for it. It was the 'one that got away' for me. Sure do wish I could have bought it. Seems like you always find something like that when you least expect it.
If I remember correctly, they wanted $35K for it and it had just over 2K miles. I could only afford 25K, and they wouldn't even deal on it, while I stood there with the cash literally in front of them hoping that might influence thier decison to sell it. Tried twice more that week to buy it, all I could think about was owning it. They finally won out and I realized the car was slightly over priced. Went by the guy's house who used to own it and told him I was trying to buy it. Come to find out, they didn't give him anything close to what they were asking (they made him a deal on a Mercedes) for it and he would have sold it to me for 25K! Sometimes it is best to let it go, I still get worked up over the whole deal. As the saying goes, 'close doesn't count'.
To me, they are the best third gens ever! Fast and sexy as hell! Plus, thier low production volume makes them a sure thing in terms of collectability.
Good luck, hope you find a nice one.

I saw #026 at a car specialty reseller in Rialto, CA a year ago. I was disappointed that no-one bothered to clean the rubber out of the wheel wells! Seems to me a proper detail and touch-up of paint blems were needed. The reseller would not budge on price, I believe at that time they were asking over $30k. I could not believe they would not negotiate, especially considering pricing on the other Firehawks that had sold recently, all for $20-25k! I left pissed, and started looking for my '91 Formula which I would get for much, much less and am doing the copy-Hawk in a way like mentioned above (383, six speed). I am having a great time and have my checkbook in better shape!
#26 Is an awesome car! Unfortunately it has seen greener pastures. Needs a headliner, front bumper touched up and the hood is slightly tweaked (due to the fact that it's aluminum.) Nothing that time, $$$$ and TLC can't fix. It's still one wicked ride!

They didn't let me drive it, however, I was not impressed by the custom tune on the car. Should have had bigger #s, that should be easy to fix though with a good tune.

Julie,
Now that the car is out of California, how do much work would it take to make it meet CA smog (visual) if it were to come back?

Some Firehawks have several chips one for driving and another for smog... I believe this car may have multiple chips for that purpose.

I see this green one has a GMMG exhaust on it. *drool*

It's gotta be the one that GMMG shows as an example photo on their website.

The rumors of Bruce selling his car are greatly exaggerated...
