I've been lucky; I've treated my weatherstripping with Armor-All since it was new and it's still in good shape. Classic Industries (800-854-1280) has excellent Camaro & Firebird restoration catalogs that sell our 3rd Gen. weatherstrip in individual pieces or a full kit. The full kit is $149. I've never done it, but I'd give it a try to save on labor costs.

P.S. That $149 kit is the T-top kit...

I got porked for $300 for a sofseal kit. My car doesn't leak at the t-tops, but the black bar between them leaks even though I've siliconed the **** out of everything in sight.

I have never done a Camaro, but I did replace seals on an 88 Monte SS I had. The job really was not that bad. I took my time and spent all day Sat. on it. The hard part is adjusting the t-tops so ythey seal correctly. the only reason I replaced mine myself was that I could not get anyone to do it. A GM dealer told me they would sub seal replace jobs out to me if I could do it. Try it, it won't hurt.

I recently did this job on my Formula and it wasn't that difficult. Just make sure to clean EVERYTHING. I still get a small leak where the T top meets the windshield frame but only if the waterhose is pointed at it and sprayed full blast when I wash it.

I replaced them myself too, and I agree with what Mongoose said clean it good. I bought genuine GM stripping for the whole car from the dealer at cost (my friend works there) and mine is water-PROOF except at the same spot as Mongoose (where the two w-strip pieces touch) and I dont think you can get arounf that it's just a bad design. Also, it only leaks w/full blast hose or full blast rain (like Mongoose said) and even then its only a couple drips.
