86 Trans Ams.....

How many 86 Trans Ams were there with Cloth interior, 305 TPI, 700R4 with the Corvette thing that allows overdrive a 3/4 throttle. $ wheel disc. 16X8" Rims with power windows locks and air conditioning. It also had the 140mph speedo and a 8000 rpm tach.

There's no way to tell, GM didnt keep detailed records like that.

You can try Pontiac Historic Services at http://www.phs-online.com/

I have the car you described. Came w/the 16 wheels(lace) and ws6. My tach only goes to 6000--my 89 350 tach went to 8000--so maybe that's the differance.

Yes. My friend's 86 is totally red. Did it come from the factory that way? I don't know, but even before he had the car repainted, I saw no hint of silver paint anywhere in the cracks or edges of the ground effects, so I think there's a good chance it came that way. His is a WS6 TPI 305 with gray cloth and digital dash.

MY interior in my 85 z is rare, and I can't find anything out about it.
