Are these wheels original?

I'm trying to find out where my rims came from, I have no RPO codes anywhere my car. I have 16 inch concave pontiac rims. I have no idea what diameter or material they are. Could some one help me figure it out? Also, are these exclusively Trans Am Wheels or are they also availible on firebirds like my car? Thanks,
John

To the best of my knowledge only the aniversary edition trans am came original with 16inch wheels in 1984.All other models for that year got 15 inch or smaller wheels.

Ok, thanks. I think they're from a trans am of a later year (85-89). Does that make sense? I don't know the difference between firebird wheels and formula, GTA, and T/A wheels. Is there any difference besides size? Thanks,
John

They could be from either a Trans Am or a Formula, '85(?)-'92 depending on whether they are Formula or Trans Am rims.

They may have started that rim style in '86, as I think the '85s had only the convex 16" rims.

The style wheel you have was available on the 15th anniversary T/A in '84. All T/As got the same wheels minus white powdercoat from '85 through '87 as did the Formulas from '87-'88. The deep dish style came out in '88. The GTA mesh wheel was only available on the GTA in '87 but in '88 it was on all T/As.

Actually, the first year for the 16x8 GTA style 'deep-dish' was 1986. I think mid-year. The wheels were available on T/As with the WS6 performance suspension package.

Hey, thanks a lot guys! One more question though. What is the difference between the regular concave style and the "deep dish" or are they the same thing. Anyone have pictures?
