I know that all int. options were available minus the radio. Best you could do there was AM/FM. now that is factory but some dealers put better radios in them (I have seen one with a fac. cd player) As I siad befor you could get all int. options. in a B4C even leather but no one ordered them that way cus they didnt want to pay for frills just the go fast goodies like mine has. AND of course they only came in a hard top.
I have seen a few ex cop cars with leather. any thing else just ask man

A friend of mine ordered a B4C in '92 and the order got "kicked out" because a CD player was on the order. Then Chevrolet called the dealer and wanted to know why this car had leather interior on the order list. Well in the end the car got the leather seats and he was VERY happy.
black5.7gta,
You said that you saw two '91 Zs, those would not have been B4Cs. B4Cs were in RS trim, not Z28 trim. I'm sure police agencies used Z28s as pursuit vehicles, but you can't classify them as B4Cs. Also, the B4Cs didn't have a speed limiter and the trans didn't kickdown at xx% of throttle. Mine was ordered by a dealer through the local police department to be sold to the public. It has pretty much all the options. No leather, just deluxe cloth.

Not all cars with leather were "old" cop cars, our 92 has 7.4k miles on it and was ordered brand new with all options except CD player, power mirrors, and power hatch. Kind of a funny combo I must say. Working on getting a '91 5-speed car to go with her.
Haze,
Did you mean that the kickdown valve was on all the cars, or not on the 350 cars since 1990? I'm almost certain that the B4C cars didn't have the kickdown vavles. I can't remember where I read that. I haven't had a chance to run my B4C at WOT, to much traffic. It wouldn't make sense for the B4C cars to have them. They are pursuit vehicles and the 350 cars had gobs of torque. If some could prove me right or wrong, that would be great.

What i meant was that all of the 350 cars had the full throttle up shift into overdrive, another words it was not just on the B4C's. I believe that is what I read. Like you say it is a hard one to prove these days with traffic. As far as I have tested on my previous Z's and various B4C's, they all have upshifted into overdrive at WOT. That is about as fast as I have been before backing out.

No, not all L98 got the kickdown valve until 1992. Some did, but not all. My car did not have it until I complained and they fixed it.
I also remember a post a while back on the old board asking L98 owners who could and could not go into 4th @ WOT. All of the owners of 1992 L98s could (that responded) and some of the 1991s could. Most of the pre 1992 cars could not.
None had a speed limiter though

Hey i can get into 4th at WOT. i have had my car out to 142mph. and it was fun. but it didnt even hesitate. it went right in. yeah it takes a while and the red line was hitting but i didnt care. if i broke i would just replace it. oh well. and what is the speedlimiter susposed to be set at. i dont think i have one.

If you have a speed limiter, it is somewhere between 110 - 120. Easily changed in the eprom. But there is STILL a limit (255 mph), which is the maximum value you can store in a single byte. SHOULD you have a car that can go that fast, that code can be fixed ... heh heh.
As for pre-1992 cars that can go into 4th @ WOT; many of us original owners complained about it and GM fixed it for free. Also, if they got a warranty replacement tranny, (4L60 SRTA), that doesn't have it either.
Not many of us "orignal" owners left out there that know the REAL history of our cars. If I was to sell my car, the next owner wouldn't know that my car originally wouldn't got into 4th @ WOT unless I told him about the "service fix".
