How can I get in touch with this to get my RPO codes? Is there a website or anything. I remember someone getting them for his 82 T/A and I would like to get them for my 83Z28?

Hi Drew, not to be obnoxious or anything but actually it's Pontiac Historical Services. For those who don't know, it was started by an individual who was permitted access to a large volume of Pontiac's production records. If you give them your VIN, for $35 he will send you a package of information that includes the actual build sheet info for your Pontiac, as well as some canned stuff like press releases for your year car, a marketing department photo, that sort of thing. I used it for my 1967. PHS has become somewhat of a benchmark, not by itself authenticating, but if you are buying a Pontiac you will often see "PHS Documented" as part of the ad to show that the person has confirmed that the equipment on the car is the same as the build sheet says for that VIN. You often see the PHS documentation included in folders and albums in Pontiac trunks at car shows!

Unfortunately PHS documentation only runs into the mid-80s I believe. I know when I called about my '92 I was referred back to PMD, and they were pretty useless. Fortunately this site and others have the interpretations for the codes found inside the console lid.
