well it seems that ask jeeves says 16.5 as well so I stand corrected...but 250 ponies for 16.5 pounds is really weak though...

Car: 85 IROC-Z / 88 GTA
Engine: 403 LSx (Pending) / 355 Tuned Port
Transmission: T56 Magnum (Pending) / T5
Axle/Gears: 3.42 / ?
It's rated at 250 horse. 250 horse wouldn't propel a car to high 13 second quarters.

GM Wont allow any car to be rated higher than the Corvette. Grand Nationals were 250 HP too or something like that. TTA's dyno over 300 hp to the wheels.

I saw where they did the dyno test for all tyes of GN's. The TTA did 301 HP at the rear wheels and the GNX was 30 hp less. In the brouchure, it has the hp at 250@4400 rpm and torque as 340 @2800 rpm. My car, the first weekend at the track went 13.55 with no mods and some tuning it went 12.42 at 111 mph on stock parts except for a chip.
