T-Top bag Q.....

Do all factory T-Tops bags have the "GM" logo embossed on it or just the Camaro one's???

Mine doesn't have this but it is the original bag...

They seem to vary from year to year. My 85 bag has it upside down, but the bag from the 86 I scored has it upside right.

It varies from year to year... the big differences are velcro vs zipper, and the logos... some bags have a GM logo and a Fisher logo, some just have one of the two. Right off the top of my head I'm not sure which one it is that appears alone... Believe the change in bags was around 86-87.

My 87 has the logo.

However, any bet as to originality is off.

My 91 GTA dosen't have any logo on the bag.

By the way, 92GTA exactly what color is your car? Mine is the metallic green color and I see that yours is the Jade color. Is that similar to mine just more subdoed?

My color can best be descibed as and exact 50/50 blue/green combo it's actually not anything like the metallic green. Is your GTA the medium or dark metallic green??

GM logo with zipper on the TA. The T-top holders in the '97 are ok, but they take up all the room in the trunk well. I like the TA bag better.

My '83 TA has t-tops. When I bought the car the owner didnt have the t-top bag. How would I go along and install the t-top bag in my trunk? Are there any special clips that I need? If I bought a t-top bag off of ebay....what do I need to put it in my car? Thanks.

My 82 Trans Am t-top bag has the GM and Fisher logo both right side up, and the fastener is Velcro, check it out here:

I just said they were right side up, for my bag anyway. When the bag is in the mounted position in the trunk, the logos are readable from behind the car. The opening where the t-tops go is under the embossed logos, so it could be upside down or right side up, depending on how you interpret it.

Both the 85 I had and the 86 I have are just marked with the GM logo. I know both bags were original.

The bag in my 84 looks just like Kizz's, GM and Fisher body logo, it has velcro

The bag in my 83 only has the GM logo, it has zippers.

My original 85 bag is like Jim85IROC's, just the GM logo, and when attached to the clips, the logo is upside-down when viewed from the rear of the car.
