how many 1990 iroc-z's???

how many of these are out there.. as i have one.. and you can tell if its a 1990 iroc if the iroc sticker is at the rear of the door.. which i always thought looked better anyways..anyone here have one??looked all over the web and really cant find one.. want to know cuz i want to adjust the selling price of my car in 6 months when my loan is paid off..why do i want to sell?? i want a maro with a 350 prefereably with mods already done. and i want a supercharger.. why charge a 305?? dont make sense?? i read that only 4000 of these were made in 1990 considering that they only made the 1990 a half year and realeased the 1991 early.. (cuz they lost the iroc license) iroc's z's became z's..so ya how many people have seen or have a 1990???

28,750 RS Coupes

1988 thru 1990 IROC-Z's are visually identical, so there is no way to discern (visually) which year it is.

The 1990 model year was cut short because of the discontinuance of the contract with the IROC racing series. That's why the production figures are low. In terms of collectibility, it is not any more collectible than the previous year's model. This can be verified to checking used car values of the 1989 and 1990 IROC-Z. They are almost identical.

Hmmm.... I guess you're right. It doesn't make sense that my supercharged 305 IROC-Z runs 12-flat at 116 mph, does it? And if I told you it is emissions legal and driven daily, it REALLY doesn't make sense.

Willie, once in awhile you need to be humble, especially with Junior members. You'll drive them away from the board and who'll buy our old spare parts??? 8-)

Tell us how you plan to go from 8 psi boost and almost double it to 15 psi, another simple pulley swap?

good job on owning a 1990 IROC, i am not one of the few anymore.

and willie good job on the 305 but try and keep the new kids here!! lol

and the 305s can be just as quick as a 350, well a highly modded 305 to a slightly modded 350, and if you want a 350 just build one and slap it in.

One way to visually distiguish A 1990 Iroc from any previous year is the dash/guage cluster(If you can get close enough). It is the first year of that design.

Personally, if he really wants to mod a car, I think he should sell his and get an older one with a 350. IMO, any '90 IROC may not be worth much (if any) more money now, but will be down the road. Mod it though, and it will be another modded IROC, not an original collector piece. With such low production, and with the cache of being "The Last IROC," these cars will undoubtedly be worth more than an '89.

Just my opinion though

yes but what fun is it driving a stock iroc, when there are LS1s and stuff out there, i can see if you car looks like ******* vert, but not on just another IROC. i used to believe that the 90 IROC was special but i have gotten over that, its just another IROC so go ahead an modify it.

and what i would do to find a 1990 iroc black with a 305 tpi and a 5spd, oh the ideas and wonder!!

IM installing a 406 in mine. But..Ive also kept every stock piece that came off the car.

That way if I ever sale the car. I can put it back to stock. And sale my performance parts. Ive always gotten more money out of my cars that way.
