I'm not totally sure, but I'm not sure 1LE's came with 350's... and even if they did, I wouldn't shell out $23K for one. But anyway, the 1LE was designed as a showroom stock race car that had suspension, brake, and other upgrades. As you can tell, I'm pretty shady on it, so I'll let someone else take it. I'm more of a Pontiac guy...

1LE's came with 350 automatics and 305 5-speeds. They are a racing version of Camaros/Firebirds, with special brakes, and no power options to save weight. The engines are the exact same as regular TPI cars.

o alright, i kinda get it now. so 1LE was just a racing option basically. im surprised its not that advertised in the 4th gens. so were these 1LE's that much faster than regular f bodys with the samw engine? I guess the suspensions would be better tuned for corners and the brakes too for autoX. thanks for all the info.

The ones I believe that are worth that much are the 88 1LE's. Only 4 were built.

One of the 89's are asking 27k!!! It has I believe 4k miles.

In my opinion, they are not worth that now but will be in about 10 years.

Also, I think the non service police package B4C camaros will be worth more since they were available to the public.

Just my $.02!!!

Yea i still think 23,000 bucks for a 3rd gen is a lil much. I saw a red 25th anniv. wit black stripes that had the B4C. It was at some car show at the Oriental Palace in Las Vegas. Maybe you guys have seen it.
TAdan...Im in Morristown, NP isnt too far away from here. Maybe ive seen your car around.

Not really. The motor is not a corvette motor, it's a Camaro motor. The motor is 100% identical to every other 350 in a thirdgen camaro (or 305 if it's a 5 speed). Transmission is the same. The differences are in the suspension and brakes only. I do not believe that the brakes are the same as the corvette, although they may be approximately the same size. The rest of the suspension is totally unique and in no way resembles that of the corvette.

The brakes on a 1le are actually a combination of caprice and corvette brakes. They have larger rotors(caprice) than the vettes with vette calipers.

Yeah your right on the brakes, there a mix of both, just shy of 12" Rotors. Trust me they stop killer. The car also comes with a thicker transmount (much stronger) thicker swaybars and bushing mounts,World Class T-5 tranny with a modified 5th gear of .78,Baffled tank with swing pickup for much better pickup during cornering, and for some reason mine rides about 2" lower all around compared to my buds. They are really light as hell to, my 91 with me in it weighs just 3250. The thing screams, havent taken it to the track yet, but it should click a high 13 with ease, a 14.2-13.7 is my prediction based on cars Ive smoked and other 13sec cars Ive had. Traction in 1st is definetely a limiting factor and will be at the track without some thought out launches. Anyway just thought I would share

Other 3rd genners that have driven my car agree that the 1LE brakes are far superior
to the standard ones. But that is the big part
of the package

Uh, is this possible?? Was it possible to get B4C and the heritage package together??
I mean, B4C was for cops...do cops need racing stripes???

I would assume a 25th B4C car would be like a t-top B4C car...just not neccessary. I won't be surprised if you could order one though, knowing GM!

It is not possible to order the Z03 (Heritage Package) with the B4C. It would kick you out. Also t-tops could not be ordered with the B4C package either.

They could come with just about every option available in 91 and 92 except the Heritage Package (in 92 only of course) and t-tops. Also, I think that the best stereo they could get was the cassette!! I am not too sure on that the radio options!!! There were a couple that even came with leather!!!

Hope this helps!!!
