I will tell you the same thing the dealership told me the replacement locking lug keys are not made anymore so you can try to fix it or use a smaller size socket pound them on and use a impact to remove them good luck David W.

Indeed.... you will have to get the old nut off someway and then replace all four locking nuts with a new set. Even if your car still has the wheel nut identification sticker on the underside of the hood, I doubt you can get a new "key" through GM. you have to have that number to order a new key.

I had to have mine "impacted" off and then bought a new set through GM.... new sets are still available. I have heard of tools that will remove them without damaging the nut, but I've never seen one anywhere.

Good luck.

Go to a dealer, there is a "master" that will take them off. I know, because I misplaced mine and the dealership was able to get my wheel off with destroying the lug nut.

that key is not even made by GM. it's another company that still sells them. I forgot the company but they will send you a key for $10

The company that makes the locks and keys is Amcor. First, look around your car, somewhere you might have a green and gold label with the wheel lock and key code, and the info for ordering a new key. If you don't have a label, go to any respectable dealership and explain your problem to the parts guy. They will have one of every key. Right now I can't remember exactly how many there are, but there were 3 sets with 5-15 keys each. Anyway when you find the one that works you can go one of a few directions, remove them and chuck em in the woods, replace with standard lugs ($1-2 each) or you can get a new complete set with key ($15-20), or you can order a new key from the counter guy. What you may run into is that the original locks are trashed, shops tend to use impact wrenches on the locking lugs which causes them to get chewed up then the keys wont fit. In which case a dealer might be able to remove them for you, or any tire place can pull them and replace them with normal lugs for a few bucks.

If they are the ones with the notches on the outside and the hole in the middle I have personally used the removal tool that does not damage the nut. It is like a easy out you pound it in the center hole with a hammer and then back it off. THe tool is cut directionally so as you remove the nut it actually pulls itself harder into the nut. Although you can't reinstall them with out the key.

I had the same problem and I went to the dealer. They didn't have a master key, but they did have a set with every key in it. They let me use their key to remove my locking nuts, which I threw at a passing mustang. This was an Olds dealership.

I say get a wheel lug nuts/hub cap remover set of impact sockets..A BFH(Big ****ing hammer) Hammer one of them on there put a 1/2 inch extension on it and use an impact gun. It'll take the bad boy right off there. There's nothing a BFH can't fix..hehe hell even a SFH does the trick..After you do that just buy an aftermarket set of locks. It's probably not worth the trouble of getting new locks from a dealer.
