GTA Question

Did '91-'92 GTAs say "Trans Am" on the rocker gfx, or were they just plain?

Plain on the rockers.
GTAs on the upper fender lines of the front fenders.
I never saw a GTA with just Trans Am stickers anywhere.

Thanks, George. There was a reddish one listed on here that recently sold. Had "Trans Am" on the rocker gfx, but the seller said the RPO codes identified it as a GTA. Also saw another car that had the gold GTA fender badges, but said "Trans Am" on the gfx. That's why I was curious.

The words "Trans Am" only appear on a genuine GTA in two places: the GTA emblems on the front fenders under the letters "GTA".

Edit: "Trans Am" also appears on the nose emblem, looked at mine when I got home to be sure.

So, pretty much just the emblems.

Hmmm...sounds like maybe we need more '91-'92 owners or experts to chime in and clear this one up!

There is a 91GTA in our club and I don't remember it having Trans Am in the rocker panels. That would have been something I would have noticed.

91-92 GTA's never had Trans AM anywhere on the car, unless you count it on the front fender emblems.

Mine was an original owner 17k car.

If it says Trans AM someone put it there

Its a GTA or a TA, no both :-)

The 91-92 TA's did have markings on the rear and on the lower moldings.

Had a couple friends with these as well.
