My understanding is that they sell for decent money, so they must be somewhat desireable.

Not really, I've had several of them. As a matter of fact, I'd suggest that they're less desirable than they once were because members have discovered they won't fit the larger rear brakes (such as the 11.7 inch rotor and PBR calipers).

Really? My TA has a PBR rear, and the spare that I found the other day when dismantling the hatch area is an aluminum one

Well, I assumed so you know what that makes me! IIRC, there are two alum spares: one is an alum, 10-spoke inflatable, which is the one I was talking about; the other was designed to fit the PBR rear. It too is alum, but is painted black.

By the way, Bull, I'm looking for one. Any chance?

Ok, that makes sense. The one in my TA is painted black. I didn't know there were types, so thanks for educating me in that area.

I'm guessing, then, that the PBR version is more desireable than the non? I intend to sell mine, so it helps to know what I have!

If yours (P195/75-D15) has never seen the road and is complete with air can, I'd be interested. PM me with a price. Maybe we can deal.

James, I wish I could say it has never seen the road, but it looks to me as if it has. Didn't see any inflator can in the spare well, either.
