Base '82 Firebird wheels

I was searching the net for old thirdgen firebirds and found this one for sale. Just wondering if anyone HAS or seen these wheels before. I see the hupcaps on occasion on Ebay usually for really cheap. Never saw the trim rings though, probably 14" on the base models. I think they give it that old school sleeper look, they can ditch the white walls though...look out of place on the firebird.

Anyway, this is the first time I've actually seen these on a Firebird, I know they made some wire hubcaps too for that luxury look...Luxury, on a Firebird

My God, those are appalling!! Those are definitely base wheels though, I think they are missing the red Pontiac arrowhead centers. Just sacreligious!

Most all of the base wheels... heck, why stop there... almost all of the 82 Firebird wheels were hideous. At the very least they're extremely dated now.

Those are "dog dish" hubcaps pretty rare only seen a few base 82's with them on.The second rarest are the 14x6 Snowflakes.Strange for me to say but the N89 Turbo Cast are the most common wheels for '82.

a NOS set of 5 just sold on Ebay for $14

As far as the snowflakes, there is an '82 a couple blocks from my house that has the snowflakes. Don't really care for them personally.

since we're talking hubcaps, how about these from '84? These are also on Ebay right now for $80. That's kind of high, I've seen them sell for like $10 or not even sell at all.

That's because they're ugly. Just about any thirdgen vintage Pontiac wheel (excluding GTA style wheels) are a give away. Hubcaps? Only the most backwards collector would ever have an interest.

I like them in an original historic kinda way. But I guess I’m a backwards collector, I’m fine with that! I’d like to have the base car sitting next to my T/A, It would make for a good contrast, maximum and minimum.
