I know from experience that if you go to the gm dealership and so proof of ownership they should be able to take the vin and cut you a door and ignition key. All though most of my experience is with newer cars. Age of the car may play a small factor. But it wouldn't hurt to call.

The GM dealer will be able to get you the proper keys if you can show them proof that you own the vehicle.

Mine were about $20 per key because of the chip. I think they said there are 14 possible combinations of chips.

Re: were can i get replacement keys??

How can I get my passenger door and drivers door to require the same key? Since the previous owner replaced some locks and not others, I have 1 key for the drivers door, no key for the passenger door, 1 key for the ignition, 1 key for the rear hatch and yet another key for the rear hatch cover thing. That's 4 keys for 5 different things and it would be 5 for 5 but I'm missing a key. How can I make my key chain lighter? Just buy new locks?

Re: were can i get replacement keys??

You should be albe to take the lock cylinders into a lock smith and they can code everything for the same key.

I'm just replacing the ignition cylinder and VATS and that's what I did to keep the same ignition key.

I'm going to guess somewhere between $100 and $150 to do all four. From what I've seen here locally (Vancouver, Canada area) there is a charge of $40-50 for the first lock and additional ones are half that. Not sure how it works for your area.
