Low mile GTA

Found this online the other day:
http://www.holtautosales.com/invento...ed_gta_422.htm

89 GTA - 19,189 miles
350 TPI
Dual Cat exhaust
3.45 BW 9-bolt
T-Tops
Leather
Analog dash
Original tires but not Gatorbacks

I have seen production numbers on the amount of L98s and GTAs produced in 1989, but I have not seen any numbers which take in to account options. I would think the 350/dual cat/3.45 rear end would be a hard to find option package.

I looked at this car and it's amazing. Wheels are brand new. Runs great. The engine bay is spotless. He'd take 15k for it, but I couldn't pull the trigger.
Should I go back and buy it?

Loos like a really clean car, well it looks like a car with 19K on it lol. I drive mine way to much to look for something that low milage. However, you said it has the 3.45 BW 9 bolt, this was not available in 350 (L98) cars only those with the 305. Might just be a numbers mix up.

Nice!

I'm not sure what the original tires but not Gatorbacks thing means. I thought they were the only tires that came on GTA's.

Re: Low mile GTA

Wow, that car has been for sale for quite some time I guess. I remember seeing it sometime last year if not earlier! It's not an unreasonable price, wonder why it's not sold yet?
The tires are the original Gatorback ZR50s and very typical, worn down to nothing in 20K miles! Also the rear would be a 3.27:1 BW 9 bolt not a 3.45:1.
Nice car, depending on the condition up close, it is not out of the ball park on the price.

Re: Low mile GTA

I don't think the pricing is out of line for miles and condition of the car. It is getting harder and harder to come accross a nice example of 3rd Gens. She looks to be a sweet GTA.

Re: Low mile GTA

I don't see where it says it has a 3.45 rear, which would be incorrect anyway.

As stated above, the 3.45 was only available with the 305/T5

Nice car, as for option production look at GTA source page under RPO code figures for 1989. For example:

89 GTA - 8,470 (includes the 1,550 20th Trans Am's)
350 TPI - 6,554
Dual Cat exhaust - 3,068
3.27 BW 9-bolt - 8,104 (includes the 1,550 20th Trans Am's)
T-Tops - 6,820
Grey Leather - 1,743
Analog dash - Couldnt find the figure but only 3 digital dash cars were built and 1,550 20th T/A cars were built so that leaves 6,917 analog dash cars

HTH,
Steve
