did they ever sell double badged third gen?
just like the title says im just curious as to if they ever sold a double badged third gen like the first gens rs/ss or rs/z28 (seen a documented one on barrett jackson) and what ever other combos you could get. im wondering about dealer/factory ones not homemade ones and just so you know iroc/z28 dont count

Just curious why the Iroc/Z28 doesnt count?
My freind has a car with that. Its definately a mixed up car being an 83 and having interior and exterior from about 3 other years, but he has a badge on his dash board saying IrocZ28. Its one solid peice, and i have never seen one before.....
Did all Iroc/Z's get that?

Not really, because you could get an SS without the RS package, you could get an RS without the SS package in the 1st gens and before they changed to Iroc-Z for the couple of years, you could get a Z28 without the Iroc package, so it would be a double package.

I think in 88 they dropped the Z28 package for the Iroc Z28 package. So I guess prior to that they would have been seperate packages you could get together.Check out the camaro tech datta on the home page.

Re: did they ever sell double badged third gen?
but before they were mandated as combined, you couldn't get IROC without Z28.... so they aren't two entirely separate packages that were combined at times. To the Original Poster, I don't believe 3rd gens were set up so that such a combo was possible. The models that had performance had the appearance upgrades built in. The one time they didn't do this, they created the formula model to denote performance upgrades with base model appearance. If it were done like the 1st gens, all the Z28s and Trans Ams wouldn't have ground effects or other appearance upgrades unless you added an RS type appearance package.

OH NO... we already beat the IROC/Z28 topic to death in another thread. He is saying it doesnt count because:
IF you have an IROC, regardless of year you have a Z28, period... not a mixed breed.
That said, it DOES NOT mean that if you have a Z28 that you necessairily have an IROC. It was an add on to the Z28 for a couple years (B4Z or something 85-88? not exactly sure of the years)
Or to use philosophy or mathematics or whatever...
If IROC then z28 but the inverse is not true.
I think he is saying two packages you could order independant of one another OR together. Show me an IROC that is NOT a Z28 (by RPO).
You could have a 69 RS only
You could have a 69 SS only
OR you could have a 69 RS/SS (if youre lucky enough
)
You could have an 87 Z28 only
BUT you could not have an 87 IROC only
You could only have an 87 IROC-Z28
Get it? So Brennan... I don't think you can get ny 3rd gen mixed breeds like the old cars... but I could maybe be mistaken.
