Size of 87 IROC-Z decal???

I dont know if this is the forum to ask this question....but i am looking for dimensions of the IROC-Z decal on the door. The car is an 87 and im not sure if size changed when they moved the decal to the back of the door. The only dealer that has this decal in stock is 2 and a half hours away. So I went to my local flea market and of course there is a guy that makes stickers, decals, signs ect... I showed him a pic of the decal and he says no problem, all he needs is dimensions. And $30 dollars later i can have the decals back on my car after it got painted. So i beg please can anyone go measure their decal, i need height of the letters and width of the whole decal... now heres the hard part(sorry lol) the letters are italic so i supplied a picture to show how the width should be measured...

as you can see the letters are angled so its hard to get an exact width if you measure from the top of the (I) to the top of the (Z)... theres that little space that needs to be accounted for

I appreciate greatly whoever can help me out here... i know this is a little demanding but i dont know anyone in my area that has this car so i can measure it myself... Thanks alot guys

I wouldn't have a flea market person replicate these. He may be able to do a good job, but without doing his homework, they won't look correct. Also, do not buy original decals from a dealer or eBay that state they are NOS. You will pay top dollar and they are no good except to be used as a template. The graphics companies state the glue that holds them to the paper to has a shelf life of 7 years max. If you do install original decals, the edges can start rolling and peeling up. You can buy replacements from Phoenix Graphics, Year One, Classic Industries and a few other places for less than NOS and less than this guy will charge to make incorrect graphics.

Do a search for decal placement or something to that effect. Many people have asked this in the past and I know it's documented here somewhere. You could also search for my username as I believe I've taken measurements and posted it. Some decal companies provide a template as part of the backing paper for proper placement. Be sure to ask when you place your order.
