Firebird 2 + 2???
I cannot be the first one to see this image, but i have attatched an image i found in a book, also pictured. Found the picture on page 212, not sure, but it looks like the rear window of a Monte and a little lengthening of the quarter panel to make more room for the rear passengers. Other than that, different bumpers, but same shaped hatch and fenders and doors. Maybe someone can shed some light on this as i haven't found any mention of anything in a search, and the book said nothing of it but that it was a 1987 Pontiac GTA. There was a decal on the door that i believe said "Firebird 2 + 2", but my camera phone couldn't get that detail. Any ideas??

Re: Firebird 2 + 2???
Ah, thank you for clearing that misconception up. Yea it's Pontiac 2 + 2, not firebird. But again another piece of literature that improperly labels it's pictures. I did not know the Grand Prix had an Aero coupe, i only knew and seen the lumina and monte carlo aero's. Again, you learn something new every day. Thanks!

Re: Firebird 2 + 2???
That was my first thought, that someone played around with a firebird design and a monte carlo, i don't think the car looks that bad, i think it would have looked a little more "aero" if the windshield wasn't so stout, maybe put it at more of an angle and it would have looked a little better in my opinion, but all in all i like it.
Also looks a bit like the mecham spoiler, just not as much of a wrap around.

Re: Firebird 2 + 2???
The Aero Coupe was designed for NASCAR, IIRC when the Thunderbird was stomping GM at the track GM created the Aero Coupe to compete. I want to think the 1986 cars are worth more because they are more rare. I looked at a 1987 Monte Aero Coupe a few years ago, nice looking car, he was asking 7500, I wish i would have picked it up for my wife...
The Lumina you are talking about was a 4 Door hatchback offering in the 90's... Not sure why they made it... My roommate had one when I was at School.
