GM never kept track of combinations. You can probably find out how many Iroczs were made, or how many 350s were made, or ttops, but you won't find numbers for Iroczs with 350s, or ttop Irocs, or any other combination. Effectively, there's no way to determine how rare a particular car is beyond individual options. The flip side of the coin is that there were so many small, insignificant options, and so many small insignificant changes, that nearly any thirdgen can be represented as rare when they're all taken into consideration.

I agree with that statement, I've given up trying to find out how many L69/T5 cars had t-tops for that reason. But one way you can make a guessimate is keep track of the market. I'd say in my case its something like half of that drivetrain combo has T-tops. Based on how many have come up for sale etc.

i know im gonna get an arguement, but check your RPO codes if possible, or send in to Pontiac Historic Services, they should be able to give info and other stuff, BUT i have never heard of or seen a FACTORY 350 v8 with ttops..

Let's see, how best to approach this one... You're misinformed.
L98 + CC1 wasn't at all unusual in 1987. The combination was almost as popular as high top Reeboks.

Up through at least 1989 it wasn't an unusual combination. Starting in 1990 or 91, GM decided it was a bad idea to offer the 350 and ttops. The exception to the rule are the 91-92 Formula 350s which came with diamond spoke 16 wheels, and the OEM ttops.

You can research all of this for yourself, or take the word of experts that have been here forever. Either way it's documented if you bother to look around.

The yellow cars were available until 1987. So you should be able to find an 87 with a 350. Just remember, there won't be many available. I've seen a few on eBay. No 1LEs as they came about in 1988.

Just beware, according to most sellers they try to pass off every 305 TPI as a 350 TPI to the uninformed buyers. It seems like there are more 350 TPI's out there then GM sold.

Re: does anyone know how many 350 t-top yellow irocs were made

My buddy's parent's had a 87 Yellow 350 with tops. Beautiful car. Always was super clean and never left the garage. Last time I saw him was a few years ago and they still had it.

Another bud had an 87 just like Scott's. He traded his 86 GN in for it. Kept the IROC about 10 months and traded that in for a 87 GN. The IROC was loaded with just about everything, I think it listed for $21K.
