The 92 1LE confusion continues...
Ok, so now I'm noticing that I haven't seen ANY 92 1LE's with the driver's seat I have. What gives?
It has the base model interior in it, like it should, all seats match, but the driver's lower seat has adjustable knee and side bolsters. Is this normal? Anyone have pics?
Also, is there anyone that has an option breakdown on 3rd gen 1LE cars? Like how many had what options? I'd love to find out exactly how many cars like mine there are out there. There were 705, but with the colors & options available I'd love to see how they all break down.

Seats with adjustable bolsters were not available in the Camaro in 1992. If you posted pics of your car it would help, but what you are describing sounds like the Lear-Siegler adjustable "Conteur" seat that was offered from 1982-86.
The following thread has plenty of pictures of this seat:
https://www.thirdgen.org/forums/hist...o-conteur.html
If you do have the Conteur seat, and your upholstery all matches, then it sounds like someone may have either installed a complete set of 1982-86 seats in your car, or installed just the driver's seat and had the others upholstered to match.

If the car is a 92 Z28, shouldnt it have the High Rise spoiler and third brake light in the hatch? This car appears to have a 87-90/base spoiler with the third brake light.
Have you checked the small compartment in the rear drivers side trunk for the RPO sheet? On later cars the SPID sticker was placed there instead of in the center console.

The factory only made the adjustable seat available with the deluxe interior package, which obviously your car does not have. And, as stated, no Camaros came with adjustable bolsters after 1986.
The stock seats are junk when it comes to lateral support for road racing, so I can see someone on a budget and with a little bit of fabrication skill making this mod as opposed to shelling out $$$ for aftermarket racing seats. It might have been done at the same time as the cage.

Look at the material on the knee bolster, does it look the same as the seat? Also I noticed ie appears that there is significantly more wear, or dirt in the knee bolster than the rest of the seat ...

looks like someone just bolted the older bolster on top of the lower seat...
maybe a long legged driver needing extra support?
looks like they mite have ruined the lower seat foam by doing that.
Id like to see the see what the seat looks like with the bolster removed..

Re: The 92 1LE confusion continues...
Ok, get this...had the car up on the lift tonight and noticed something peculiar. First of all, after removing 2 obviously out of place sticker on the rollbar(don't worry, not the SCCA & IROC, those will stay), I noticed the bar had been engraved with "LECA" on it. Then later on 1 spoke of every wheel, same thing. WTF is that?!
Also I think I figured out WHY the PO changed the spoiler. Just a theory. With the cage the upper 1/3 of your rear view visibility is gone, add the Aero wing to that equation and you might as well paint the rear window.

^^ Any know-how as to the above post? ^^
This one confuses me. Seems like it could be a clue. As to what, I have no idea. Searched it every way I could think of and got nothing.
