Hi my name's Rick and i've been signed up here for awhile but never posted. I need advice/opinions on this RS i'm considering getting. The seller either wants $2200 or trade for a Honda, and I have a Civic I would consider trading. The Camaro is a 1989 RS L03 with a 700R4. Odometer reads 46,126. The seller says to the best of his knowledge it is the original motor and accurate mileage. I haven't seen the car in person yet but he says he could possibly bring it to me to check out. Has current tags and he says it passed smog fine. I don't have alot of knowledge on third gens but i like the bodystyle alot. Is there anything i should look out for or problematic things on them? Sorry for the NOOB questions i just need advice. Any thoughts/info is appreciated. Thanks.

 

i think 2200 is a lil bit too much for an rs 305 with the body in that condition and honestly i doubt its the actual mileage judging on the looks and pics(too bit up)

 

I agree. I got mine for 1500 and it is in 10x better condition. And it had a bigger motor etc.

 

I have to agree with the previous posts ,asking too much for the condition of the car . Mileage dosent seem quite right for the condition its in.

Has the nose been cutout into that Bowtie shape, or is it just paint? If it's been cut out, not even worth 1/2 that - nose cones are impossible to get!

I agree as well - way way too much money! Mileage has to be wrong - Offer him $750!

 

The nose has been cut into that shape. That and the broken GFX piece are two of the things i don't like about its exterior.

why can't people put an exhaust on correctly?

 

you should be able to tell by the condition of the seats, carpet, steering wheel,under body etc if its a low milage car. which from the pix it doesnt look like it is. good luck in your search.
